Am I this old? I remember all of us, both on the online and offline, consider Bionicle a cheap cashgrab by Lego. You got like 10 pieces, and could create one of three dumb things that the company came up with. They used pieces from the awesome Lego Technics sets, but offered nothing in return. They put constraints, limited possibilities. They where the first step in killing the Lego spirit. It's value, it's creativity, it's beauty. For easy simple instructions and a dumb little show, that was nothing more than a long advertisement. I remember how sad I was when I got one of them for Xmas. I knew, that this could be a proper Lego or Technics set, but got this weak imitation. I hated them then and I still hate them now.
