Working for a corporate doesnt have to be bad, Im paid 40h a week yet I get up at like 9, browse web and play games, than I go for an hour long lunch, play some more games, do a bit of work so it looks like I did something then go home at 4..I basicaly work for like 4h a day max and the rest of the time I can do what I want..sometimes I play games, sometimes I learn stuff, sometimes I write my fantasy novel...you just have to find the right job (im a java developer)

I have worked in Japan when I was 19 for a yearn and half (I decided to do so, so I could save money for my university) at a Microchip factory. I worked an average of 336 hours per month. I worked with 14 days in a row, 12 hours a day EXCLUDING a 45 minute break for lunch and a 15 minute break after 8 hours of work. One day of pause between 14 days. So I worked 84 hours/week. I did all at night shifts to earn more (25% extra) and 25% extra for every extra hour after a 8 hour shift. So I earned around 6.000 U$ after taxes. I saved all the money I could and invested a part in photography equipment and the rest on German courses and after that Med-School here in Germany (I am originally from Brazil - did medschool in Germany). I worked as a freelance photographer while learning german and studying medicine to do not burn all the cash at once. 84 hours a week It is very stressful, I would not recommend for a long time - even worst at night. All this whataboutism. Existence of a worse condition doesn't make a condition insignificant. If it were, we would stop caring about animal rights because people are starving in Africa. No, we care about both, doesn't matter which one is more important. Stop saying "oh but what about these other people who work 45/50/1 billion hours a week". So what about them? If anything, they are experiencing the same thing, but worse.

I'm a teacher, and my hobbie is to create cool activities, so I get paid for 20 teaching hours a week but in preparation I might expend 30.
